Carroll College

Carroll College, founded in 1909 as a Catholic preparatory school for boys, was later a high school and college for young men. The first women were admitted when a school of nursing opened, run by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, attached to St. John's Hospital, in the 1940s. Carroll is is now a Catholic four-year liberal arts college. It is located at 1601 N. Benton Avenue.
