Montana's National Register of Historic Places Signs
The Montana Historical Society's National Register of Historic Places sign program offers owners of National Register-listed properties a unique opportunity to support the heritage of their communities by sharing the history of their special places through interpretive plaques designed exclusively for Montana. Each sign details the historic significance of the place. Signs can be either for historic districts or individual properties. For additional information on the National Register of Historic Places sign program, visit the Montana Historical Society's website.
This site includes the text of some of the National Register of Historic Places signs that can be seen around the state. The sign texts are arranged by county, then by town, then alphabetically by the name of the district or property.
This page is under construction. We will be adding additional texts over the next several months.
